I work as a community Rheumatologist at Associate clinic and member of the Division of Rheumatology. I have been in practice for 10 years. I completed Medical School in Santiago, Chile and then Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Calgary. I have been involved in several medical education roles including Rheumatology Chair for the University of Calgary Undergraduate Medical Education for 4 years, enjoying many educational activities with trainees. I addition, I was co-chair of the Canadian Rheumatology Associate Residents Pre-Course for 4 years. I enjoy working alongside our new junior colleagues and new grads at Associate Clinic. I enjoy working with improving patient workflow and efficacy with allied health and models of care. Due to prolonged wait times, I have incorporated Patient Initiated Follow-up (PIFU) a UK model of care into Community practice. Most recent research activity is to chair a new MDA5 Myositis working group, collaborating with several colleagues to create a registry.
