Call for Proposals: 2025-2025

The overarching goal of this competition is to promote excellence in ME research by developing and sustaining collaborative research amongst Canadian researchers, clinicians and patient partners.

New Frontier ME Discovery Grants – Objectives

Promote the development of new interdisciplinary collaborative ME research teams.

• Foster research excellence (including a stimulating and inclusive environment for research training and patient partnership).
• Foster respectful research design that increases accessibility and inclusion within research.

New This Year

To achieve the highest level of research quality, ICanCME has made some changes to The New Frontiers Discovery Grant Program this year.

These include:

1. Proposed research projects must align with ICanCME’s adopted Research Roadmap Priorities.
2. Meaningful patient partnership must be embedded within each project funded. Successful proposals will be paired with knowledgeable patient partners by ICanCME, and will receive support and education to ensure meaningful partnership.
