Use of this Website
The icancme.ca website (the ‘Site’) provides content concerning the Interdisciplinary Canadian Collaborative Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ICanCME) Research Network and hosts a searchable database of ICanCME members. The Site has been designed and developed through the use of public grant funding administered by the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sainte-Justine (CHU-Sainte Justine). By accessing and using the Site, you are agreeing to the Terms of Use (‘Terms’). The ICanCME Research Network (in consultation and alignment with CHU-Sainte Justine policies) reserves the right to modify the Terms at any time and without notice by updating this posting. Your continued access or use of the Site will mean that you agree to any changes.
User Obligations
Anyone who uses the Site shall comply with the following obligations:

- Shall not use this Site for any purpose in violation of any laws, including local, national or international laws.
- Shall not sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purpose any part of the Site, any use of the Site or any right of access to the Site.
- Shall not obstruct, disrupt or misuse the Site, servers, networks connected to the Site, or refuse to comply with any requirements, procedures, general rules or regulations applicable to networks connected to the Site;
- Shall not collect and store personal data relating to other users.
- Provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and any organization you represent (‘User Data’).
Also, network members must choose a username and password which will allow access to the member registry and are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and for any actions that may be carried out under your username and/or password. It is also your responsibility to immediately inform the network of any unauthorized use of your username and/or password and/or any breach of security and to take all necessary measures to ensure optimal security conditions when using the Site. The CHU-Sainte Justine cannot at any time be held responsible for any loss or damage occurring as a result of failure to comply with one of the obligations of this paragraph.
Termination
We may terminate all or part of the right of access corresponding to your username and password, and even delete your username and password. We also have the right to remove or move any content within the Site, for any reason, but in particular due to lack of use, or if we have good reason to believe that you have breached these Terms of Use. Any termination of your access to the Site pursuant to the terms hereof will occur without prior notice. We are entitled to deactivate or delete at any time and with immediate effect any information and/or prohibit any subsequent access to the Site. The CHU Sainte-Justine cannot at any time be held liable to you or to a third party for any termination of your access to the Site.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your security and your privacy, and in particular the personal information that you entrust to us, where applicable, when using the Site.
The following describes our Privacy Statement as it applies to the Site:

- We will only use your personal information for the stated purposes for which it was collected, unless you provide consent otherwise. Your personal information will only be disclosed to or accessed by CHU Sainte Justine employees or agents with a need to know in relation to the purposes for which it was collected.

This information is only obtained if you provide it voluntarily, through contacting us via email, completing an online form, or registering as a network member. Any information that you choose to provide will be protected in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and CHU Sainte Justine policies and procedures.
- We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third parties.
- We employ software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage. This software receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that had contacted the Site, the date and time of the visit and the pages visited. We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our Site unless an attempt to damage the Site has been detected.

- We use per-session cookies. The per-session cookies do not collect personal information about you. Per-session cookies are used to store information within a session (or visit to the Site) and allow the user to quickly navigate many pages of the Site.
