I have what was diagnosed as "probable EM" (given there is no biomarker available to confirm). I have experienced serious post exertional malaise with flu like symptoms, very important cognitive deficits, fatigue, etc. Things are now better and I am back to work full time now. I am a researcher and full professor at Université Laval in the department of psychiatry and neuroscience. My work focusses mostly on mental health, but also on cognition, social cognition, communication and social functioning. I am considering eventually working on EM as well.
