About

I have over 15 years’ experience across public and private sectors, including 5 years in leadership roles in non-profit environments, where I oversaw human resources, operations, and communications. A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA), I have worked to co-create policies, practices, and services that promote safety and belonging in every organization I’ve been a part of for over 10 years. More than a business case, I believe this work is simply the right way to show up in the world alongside other humans. I have undertaken numerous professional development opportunities over the years to support my un/learning and advocacy, across all facets of DEIA. I bring a continuous learning mindset and lived experience with both an episodic and invisible disability to my work.  I belong to Flat Bay Band in Newfoundland but I grew up in Kjipuktuk (Halifax). I have been fortunate to live in many different places, but have called Kjipuktuk home again since 2011, where I live with my 7-year-old son.
